Dubai Airports celebrates the arrival of the first flight of China Eastern

Dubai Airports celebrated the arrival of the inaugural flight of China Eastern Airlines to Dubai International Airport from Qingdao in late afternoon on June 30th.
China Eastern will operate three flights a week between Dubai and Qingdao to add to the airline’s other flights to link Dubai International Airport with the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Kunming.
It is the first service linking Dubai with Qingdao, a city of 9 million people, located on the Chinese Yellow Sea coast.
China is the UAE’s premier trading partner and a major contributor to Dubai Airport, with more than 3.5 million passengers traveling between China and Dubai in 2018.
China is one of the fastest growing countries in terms of total number of visitors to Dubai, where their numbers rose by 12 percent to 857,000 in 2018.
Five airlines, including China Eastern, are connecting Dubai with 10 destinations across China with 81 flights per week
